The London Pass® - How Does The London Pass Work?  May 24, 2015 – 06:16 am
London Sightseeing Tickets & Passes | Viator

The London Pass is a sightseeing city card which gives you entry to a choice of over 60 popular tourist attractions in the city.

It’s everything you need for a great sightseeing experience - once you’ve bought a London Pass you don’t have to pay to get into any of the attractions it covers. Simply show your card at the entrance or ticket office of any attraction included on the London Pass, they will scan it through our special card readers and you will be allowed entry. It’s really that easy!

Check out the full list of London attractions you can visit for free with the London Pass.

Activating The London Pass

The chip in the card records when and where you first use your London Pass, as well as how long the pass will remain valid for. This means that regardless of what start date you give when you buy the pass, your London Pass is activated the first time you use it at an attraction or service.

Validity of London Pass

The London Pass is available for 1, 2, 3 or 6 days – choose the duration of Pass that fits in with your trip.

Your London Pass is valid for use on consecutive days for the duration you have selected. At the end of your validity period or when your purse value has been used up, the pass will expire and will no longer allow access to attractions. Passes can only be used at each attraction once.

It is important to note that a ‘day’ is based on a calendar day, so should you first use your pass at 4pm on Monday, Monday is counted as day one of your pass usage.

The London Pass is subject to a purse value of maximum gate prices related to the number of days. For example, with a one day adult pass you can visit up to £90 worth of attractions. Here is a complete breakdown of purse values:

Pass Duration Full Adult Public Entry Value
"Purse Value"
Full Child Public Entry Value
"Purse Value"
1 Day Pass £90 £50
2 Day Pass £180 £100
3 Day Pass £270 £150
6 Day Pass £540 £300

So, with a 6 day adult London Pass (online price: £102) you get a whopping £540 worth of attraction entry!!!

Activating the Travelcard

If you have opted for London Pass with travel, your Travelcard will be stamped with the start date that you specify at purchase. Just like your London Pass, the Travelcard is valid for consecutive calendar days only.

You can use your Travelcard to catch the London Underground from Heathrow Airport into central London, but only if you opt to have your London Pass with travel shipped to your home prior to your trip.

How to Skip the lines

Another great benefit of the London Pass is that it allows you to skip frustrating queues at a number of attractions. Simply look for the London Pass signs and show the attendant your London Pass. Learn more about the attractions included on the queue jumping privilege.

The London Pass offers visitors to the city everything they need for a great sightseeing adventure, see what you get with a London Pass to find out more.

Need advice for going to London for the 1st time

The tour package is allowing us to pick our own itinerary from a list of sites, restaurants, shopping, events, night life, attractions, etc. The idiots just list the names of the places or events and their addressess online with NO description whatsoever. How am I supposed to know what to pick?
The only thing I know about London is the Ben`s Big Old Schlong, the Fuckingham Palace, The ridiculously gigantic Fuckis Wheel, The Faberge Egg bldg, River Thames, Their men having gnarley uncut penises, their girls being freckly fair skinned squaws, and a 90 year haggard old bitch being the symbolic queen but really owning the country and not paying taxes.
