Either used or remaindered in a book store. For the sights most of them will be pretty much the same and for restaurants and hotels all the major ones are hopelessly out of date from the time they are published. I d pick up a decent map. most book stores have laminated ones of most European cities that fold up and fit in your back pocket. Grab a tube map in any underground station. I d be inclined just to do some research on the web, print out things of interest and use that as your guide.
